Olga Gutiérrez-en

Mexican creator, curator, artist-manager, contemporary dance  and stage arts producer focused in national and international cooperation projects. Her work incentivizes and promotes production, promotion and investigation in networking schemes. She is currently member of the National System of Art Creators FONCA (National Fund for Culture And Arts of Mexico).

She has received grants by FONCA on three occasions. Has won important international funds like IBERESCENA, Prince Clauss (Holanda), Prodanza (Argentina), PICE (España), Residencia Graner (España) and PAR (Uruguay).

Director of the Laboratory puntoD group, of the Contemporary Stage Art International Encounter EINCE (for its acronym in spanish) and the MURA in Fresno platform.

Has presented her work on important festivals in Mexico, Spain, France, Czech Republic, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia and Uruguay. Works on international cooperation projects with agents and organisms in Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Germany and recently Romania.

Founder and member of the 5+ platform, founded on 2018 as a space for encounter, thought and creation between agents from Mexico and Germany. As of 2013 has started to design and manage projects and practices in different situations and management contexts, closer to communitarian work.

On 2016, she designs, coordinates and operates MURA in Fresno , a platform for the articulation of art practices in context designed through the Raúl Anguiano Art Museum (MURA, in spanish) for the Fresno district in Guadalajara.    

This 2019

  • Nominated to assist as a representative of the TPAM – Performing Arts Meeting in Yokohama (Japan) on February 2019, this is one of the most influential platforms of performative arts in Asia.
  • Guest choreographer invited to participate in the International Dance Festival LIKE FESTIVAL in Bucarest (Romania) on May 2019.  
  • Participant on the XI International Encounter The world upside down: Humour, noise and performance organized by the Hemispheric Institute of Performance and Politics of the University of New York.
  • On September, she will premiere her most recent production titled PHANTASM, first play of the trilogy How to put the body?, in Guadalajara (Mexico).
